The C. Knox Massey Distinguished Service Awards recognize University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill employees each year for unusual, meritorious or superior contributions. The 2019 award recipients are Robert G. Anthony, Jr., Curator of the North Carolina Collection and Director of the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center, University Libraries,  Lynn White Blanchard, Director, Carolina Center for Public Service, Nancy Denise Burton, Receptionist and Administrative Support Specialist, Housekeeping Services, Linda Brown Douglas, Director of Volunteer Engagement, University Development, Deborah L. Hawkins, Manager of Parking Control and Event Operations, Public Safety, Sharon Horton Jones, Director of Student Services and Assessment, UNC School of Media and Journalism.

The 2019 C. Knox Massey Distinguished Service Awards honor six Carolina employees for their “unusual, meritorious or superior contributions” to the University.

Chosen from campus-wide nominations by Interim Chancellor Kevin M. Guskiewicz, each recipient receives a $10,000 stipend and an award citation.
